Nigel Reed has more spent more than 25 years in the broadcast industry. Working with some of the biggest names in the business he brings a wealth of experience to his roles as commentator, analyst and writer. He has covered a wide variety of sports for some of the most respected broadcasters including the BBC and CBC. He specializes in soccer, golf and cricket.

Since 2007, Nigel has been the voice of soccer on CBC, covering Major League Soccer, the CONCACAF Champions League, and the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He also provided play by play for the Canadian Women's national team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

He supports his CBC broadcasts with a weekly column for cbcsports.ca.

Reed produces and co-hosts his popular "Soccer Show" for Sportsnet radio - The Fan590. Over the years, the program has featured all the major names in Canadian soccer as the sport continues to grow.

In 2011, Nigel was approached by Rogers Sportsnet to help launch the channel's coverage of cricket's Indian Premier League. He also writes a twice-weekly column
for Sportsnet.ca focusing on the IPL.

His career highlights include calling the first ever goal scored by Toronto FC in Major League Soccer, and interviewing his own boyhood hero, golfer Jack Nicklaus.

Nigel is married with four grown-up daughters. Originally from London, England, he proudly became a Canadian citizen in 2010.

When he's not in front of the camera or behind the microphone, Nigel is an accomplished MC and after dinner speaker.
