It is suggested that Heather Moyse is Canada’s best all-round female athlete, ever. Representing Canada’s national teams in bobsleigh, rugby and cycling, this two-time Olympic gold medallist and three-sport athlete, Heather Moyse, is a champion and role model.
Heather completed her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto, focusing her graduate research on occupational-/life-balance.
Heather continues to give back to her community, is involved in a number of fund-raising initiatives, and has been a Member-At-Large for Commonwealth Games Canada since 2002 with an avid interest in international development through sport. She is also an Athlete Ambassador for the charity Right to Play with whom she traveled to West Africa.
From a heart of gold to a passion worth gold, it is no surprise to those who’ve met her that Heather won Olympic gold. Heather’s down-to-earth and genuine personality, as well as her passion and humour shine through as she reflects and talks to her audiences. As an exemplary role model and inspiration to people of all ages, Heather’s commitment to her country and province stands as a symbol of what it is to be Canadian.
