Head Coach Montreal Canadians, Stanley Cup and Olympic Gold Medal Champion
Claude Julien has entered into his second tour of duty as head coach of the Montreal Canadiens. Throughout his coaching career he has been known as one of the most respected coaches in the NHL. Known for his character, Julien is considered the real deal, salt of the earth, and a stand-up guy in the cutthroat world of professional sport. His demeanor, however, does not impede his success - rather it adds to it.
Julien was also an assistant coach for Team Canada at the 2015 Winter where he received a gold medal in Canada's victory. Julien joined the Boston Bruins in 2007 and was the longest tenured head coach in the NHL until he joined the Canadiens in 2017. He had previously served as head coach of the New Jersey Devils in the NHL, as well as in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Hamilton Bulldogs.
In 2011 he coached the Bruins to the Stanley Cup Finals, against the Vancouver Canucks, winning in 7 games and guiding Boston to their 6th franchise Stanley Cup title. In 2013, he brought Boston to another Stanley Cup, however they would go on to lose in this series to the Chicago Blackhawks in 6 games.
Bring the excitement of the NHL and the cache of a NHL celebrity to your events, golf tournaments or corporate dinners by having Claude Julien act as your host, emcee or engage in a meet and greet. As a local native to Blind River, Ontario, his ties to his community, success in the big leagues and his compelling, personal stories make Claude Julien a great speaker, as well.
