With the Sochi 2014 Games about to begin, the whole world is excited for what this next month will hold. We’re no different at prospeakers.com – especially since we have the privilege of working with so many fantastic winter Olympians!

In a recent article for Yahoo! on Olympian marketability, prospeakers.com president Heather MacLean commented, “Typically post Olympics there is a significant opportunity for high profile athletes with engaging stories and presentation styles to speak to corporate Canada.” So as you plan for upcoming events, and as you tune in to watch these incredible athletes compete, pay close attention to some of these faces:

 

 Patrick Chan, Adventure and Sports Speakers, Figure Skating Gold Olympic Medalist, Profile Image World Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Patrick Chan – Going into the competition in Sochi, he’s the gold-medal favourite. He is also a multi-lingual, well-spoken young man with a winning smile, maturity, and insight well-beyond his year.
Hayley Wickenheiser, Adventure and Sports Speaker, Olympic Medalist, Profile Image Hayley Wickenheiser is a four-time Olympic Medalist and Canada’s flag-bearer for this year’s opening ceremonies. A role-model for many, her leadership capacity is second to none.
Charles Hamelin, Sports Speaker, 2010 Olympic Speed Skating Champion Charles Hamelin & Francois Hamelin – these Quebecois brothers are tough competition and with multiple gold medals in Vancouver, they’re in the running to add more to the Canadian coffers.
Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue profile image  Ice-dancers Scott Moir & Tessa Virtue are deeply loved in the Canadian community and hope to reprise their gold-medal success in Sochi. Young and gracious, they have recently been seen in a W Network documentary series called Tessa & Scott.
Heather Moyse, Adventure and Sports Speaker, Olympic Gold Medalist, Profile Image Heather Moyse – a multi-sport athlete, Heather won a gold in women’s bobsleigh in Vancouver. She is also an occupational therapist, bringing a holistic experiential knowledge to her speaking engagements.
Denny Morrison, Adventure and Sports Speaker, Olympic Medalist, Profile Image Denny Morrison is a long-track skater with multiple Olympic experiences (and medals) to his name. His easy-going style makes him a fan favourite.
Jon Montgomery, Sports and Motivational Speaker, Amazing Race Canada, Olympian, Profile Image Skeleton athlete Jon Montgomery is loved not only for his Vancouver gold medal, but for his post-win celebration. He’s made multiple TV appearances in the interim years, and is ready to take home another medal in Sochi!
Kristina Groves, Sports Speaker, Olympic Medalist Speed Skating, Profile Image Kristina Groves – this four-time Olympic medalist has a long-standing history of athletic excellence and public speaking experience. Sochi will be her fourth Olympic appearance, and we can’t wait to see how she does!
Alexandre Bilodeau, Canadian freestyle skier, Olympic Gold Medalist Speaker, Profile Image Alexandre Bilodeau was the first Canadian to ever win a gold medal on home soil. Heading to Sochi, he is the reigning world silver-medalist, and will be competing for gold against the reigning world champ, a fellow Quebecois.
