On February 14, Alexandre Bilodeau wrote a page in history by becoming the first Olympic gold medalist on Canadian soil. A model of perseverance and a source of inspiration to many, he is proving to be one of Canada’s most talented young athletes.
Adam Oates
Hockey player, Adam Oates, played 19 seasons in the National Hockey League. Known as an elite playmaker, his career total of 1,079 assists was the fifth highest total in NHL history at the time of his 2004 retirement. After retiring as a player, he served as an assistant coach for the Tampa Bay Lightning and New Jersey Devils prior to joining the Washington Capitals as their head coach for two seasons. He is currently head coach of the New Jersey Devils.
Wendel Clark
Wendel Clark, former team captain and one of the most beloved players in Toronto Maple Leafs history, retired from the National Hockey League following the 1999/2000 season. Clark’s rambunctious style of play endeared him to the fans during the 13 seasons he spent with the Leafs.
