Sami Jo Small grew up on the outdoor hockey rinks of Winnipeg, MB. Her passion for the game was honed in the boys’ minor hockey system. As the only girl she was forced each and every day to prove that she belonged through hard work and determination. She dreamt, like her teammates, of someday playing in the NHL, but also dreamt of someday stepping on to the podium at the Olympic Games.
After a 12 year NHL career playing for the Thrashers, Penguins, Maple Leafs and Canadiens, Colby turned his on-ice success into a career in broadcasting. Colby’s lends his vast knowledge of the game and infectious personality as an analyst in Canada for Sportsnet’s NHL coverage and in Pittsburgh for AT&T Sportsnet
Dr. Murray Howe is Gordie Howe’s youngest son. He is head of Sports Medicine Imaging for Toledo Radiological Associates and Promedica Health System’s Sports Care program. An associate clinical professor at the University of Toledo Medical Center, he also serves on the University of Michigan Medical School Admissions Committee.
Lisa raced for 20 years as a professional triathlete. In the course of her career, she has won 11 IRONMAN races, 11 IRONMAN 70.3 races (1/2 IRONMANs), has several top 5 finishes at the IRONMAN World Championships, represented Canada on multiple National Teams and at the Pan American Games and was ranked top 5 in the world for a decade.
