Beer Expert
Roger Mittag, 'The Professor of Beer', has been helping Canadians understand and appreciate beer since 1997 through a series of tasting seminars, beer dinners and educational events. He is a consultant to several Canadian breweries bringing his extensive beer industry knowledge and enthusiastic approach to their sales and marketing teams. He currently is an instructor at Humber College's renowned School of Hospitality and also contributes regularly to CHILL and TAPS magazines. Roger also owns and operates The Beer School, which offers beer courses to consumers. His goal is to elevate the status of beer in the eyes, minds and throats of beer enthusiasts around the world.
Originally trained by some of the world's best master brewers, Roger journeys across Canada and around the world extolling the virtues of beer. Roger and his Beer School program were recognized globally for excellence in his work at InBev, the world's largest brewer. He is also recognized as one of Canada's leading beer experts and has been featured on Beer TV, Global, Omni 1, CH 11, The Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star and more recently on CBC radio and Rogers Daytime. He is also a contributing writer for CHILL and TAPS Magazines. Roger also created the innovative beer wheel, which matches food and beer together.
Mittag, noted for his energetic approach, easy-going nature and comprehensive knowledge of the Canadian beer industry, provides excellent after lunch or dinner entertainment.
