Ron MacLean, Kurt Browning, Jamie Sale and Barb Underhill are all featured in CBC hit reality series battle of the Blades. Hockey Night in Canada” loudmouth Don Cherry will be among the celebrity judges assessing the axel jumps and death spirals that former figure skaters and NHL players plan to unleash on the reality series, “Battle of the Blades,” says “Blades” co-host Ron MacLean. NHLers to Dance with Skating Stars

Figure skaters Barbara Underhill, Jamie Sale, Shae-Lynne Bourne, and Isabelle Brasseur are among the former Olympic and world champion stars who will pair up with former NHLers in an elimination-style dance competition coming to CBC-TV this fall.  The series, called Battle of the Blades, will be hosted by Hockey Night in Canada’s Ron MacLean and  figure skating champion Kurt Browning.
